The Debut of Seeds and Worms
I’m excited to share one of the first pieces where everything finally “clicked.” This panel features Bird (the Red Cardinal) showing his pal Bug a new sculpture made from scrap wood and bent nails.
This specific drawing marks the moment I felt truly happy with the character designs and the overall aesthetic of the world. You’ll notice some signature details:
- Bird: Sporting his glowing green “SEED” cap and his trusty Birkenstocks.
- Bug: My purple-spotted friend who insists on wearing a beak mask to match his best bud.
As for their names? They’ve had a few over the years, but nothing ever felt quite right. Until the perfect names strike me, they’ll remain simply Bird and Bug. Sometimes, simple is best.
